Mobile Tactical Data Networks

Course Outline

This five-day training course provides an end-to-end view of tactical data communications, from the operational drivers for data, through the various technologies available to the practical issues around military vehicle installation. It is designed to introduce participants to the tactical communication environment and the radio technologies required to operate reliably. Students will examine classic military data networks, and also the modern IP military waveforms, and will investigate the issues around communication vehicle installations, including RADHAZ, EMI/EMC and co-site interference.
