Developed by practitioners for practitioners, the two-day Introduction to Capability Design workshop shows participants how to apply an engineering design framework to systematically define capability concepts. The course demonstrates how to engage stakeholders and end-users in order to bring clarity and discipline to the definition of complex capabilities. Participants then practice building a capability model to capture user needs and trace those needs onto system requirements.
Through two structured workshops you will learn pragmatic model-based methods to:
- develop coherent operational models using visual scenario-driven analysis
- structure and document a coherent set of user needs
- define a corresponding system functional architecture
- produce solution options, including a system specification
The course usesĀ Capability Architect to demonstrate this model-based methodology for capability design.
